Our Disney Side Celebration and How to Host Your Own

Disney Side CelebrationWe all have a Disney side – that kid in us that emerges when we visit a Disney Park, see a Disney movie or recall our own childhood memories of those same moments. We were invited to host a Disney Side Celebration in our home by Disney Parks and Mom Select which included free products for our party.  Invite the magic of Disney into your home with a Disney Side at Home Celebration. Visit DisneySideCelebrations.com  for inspiration for your party and then remember to take lots of pics and share them on social media with the hashtag #DisneySide. Your photos may even show up here!

We celebrated Reagan’s 7th birthday with a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme and pizza party. Disney Side Celebration cupcakesI ordered red and pink cupcakes from Sam’s Club and then added Thin Mints as ears; we had red, black and yellow-polka-dot goodie bags filled with Mickey Mouse trinkets and candy bought from Party City and Walmart, and decked the house out in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse decorations, including a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse scene setter where we took pictures with each of our guests. Mickey Mouse headband or hat ears and blowers were handed out as the guests arrived.

Disney Side CelebrationWith 21 kids in the house and many parents, there was very little room or time for multiple games, so we turned our Mickey Mouse Clubhouse scene setter into “Pin the bow tie on Goofy.” Before our guests arrived, we cut bow ties out of construction paper and put a small piece of poster putty on the back of each. Then, we wrote everyone’s name on their bow tie as they came up to take their turn trying to put Goofy’s bow tie on his neck blindfolded. It was a big hit!

Disney Side Celebration craft tablesThe kids also had fun decorating magnetic foam picture frames that they can put the picture we took of them at the party in. We printed the pictures out after the party and are giving them out with our thank you notes. The magnetic backing and picture frames were bought from OrientalTrading.com.
