A Full Afternoon of Fun at a Taste of Colorado

Maybe we’re nuts, but after packing up camp from a weekend at Snow Mountain Ranch, we headed for downtown Denver for A Taste of Colorado. It’s always so much fun, we didn’t want to miss it and Monday was the last day to go. So, still wearing the aroma of campfire, we made the most of the last day of this amazing food and fun festival.

Reagan has been dying to play hamster in one of those water wheels, so guess where we went first?

Then there were fun slides, the bungee trampoline, carnival rides and more fun slides.

Wait, isn’t there food at this event?

I finally got Reagan to agree we needed to eat. There was no question we would start with Denver’s best BBQ from Famous Dave’s while listening to the croonings of Aurora’s own Megan Redmond on the KYGO Country Stage. Then, we picked up some cheese pizza from CiCi’s and moved over to the Kid’s Comfort Dental Stage for some kid’s music by Steve Weeks.

I got to take a breather while Reagan played in the free Baby Oasis area. Then, it was off to find some sugary sweets, including cotton candy, GiGi’s Cupcakes, Kettle Corn and Divine Donuts. You could say we overdid it just a bit.

What did our afternoon of fun cost? Exactly $50 not including parking. Thanks to A Taste of Colorado for providing us with  tickets to enjoy our day!
