Part of Perfect Moment Mondays…
On Saturday, we painted our first ice cream cone. Reagan picked out the colors: black, green, purple and pink. Hey, it was her ice cream cone. We were at Color Me Mine, of course!
Reagan was one of ten kiddos sharing a table and painting everything from worms to dragons as the parents wrote colorful, encouraging lunch note promises for their lunch boxes. I’ll be holding onto mine for a few years.
The party was being sponsored by Oscar Mayer Lunchables as part of their new Created by You campaign. If you haven’t checked it out yet, do. They’re asking kids to submit their big idea for a movie, song or video game for a chance to work with a pro, like Kevin Jonas of the Jonas Brothers band, to bring it to life. What kid wouldn’t want to win that?
After enjoying her Lunchables Cheese Pizza, of which she actually ate everything in the box, to my great surprise, Reagan and her new friends ran outside to play in the fountains at Southlands Mall. We forgot a swimsuit, so Reagan immediately began to disrobe.
“No, no, no, NO!!!” I told her this was one time it was okay to get soaking wet, in her clothes. And she did. It was refreshing to watch her and the other kids as they enjoyed one of the last days of summer, just being kids.
Looking forward to picking up Reagan’s masterpiece next Saturday. And this time, we’ll bring a swimsuit.
Thank you to my friend, Barb at Elementary Spirits for hosting the perfect Saturday!

There’s something so special, so perfect about splashing around fully clothed.

Sounds like a lovely day!

I loved, loved, loved getting to see Reagan have such a ball. So glad that we have become friends. See you soon
That sounds like so much fun! And, I agree, clothes are highly overrated.
